The fifth year of our wildly successful entertainment evolution was a night to behold, as over 700 Calgarians got all funked up.

The music was wild, the dancefloor was packed, and the attire got crazier as the night progressed. DJD performances wowed the crowd and inspired dancers to new heights!

   

Emcees Kim and Hannah kept the crowd ready to move, kept the silent auction lines moving, and rung out a a big thank-you to our sponsors: J.F. Mackie, The Kahanoff Foundation, The Calgary Herald, Willow Park Wines & Spirits, Highpine Oil & Gas and Newad.

   

The SuperBand
This high-powered 9-piece band delivered the extremely funky goods, and then some. The group epitomizes the fertile and fluid Edmonton music scene, showcasing talented musicians from various different bands, and encouraging crowd participation through vibrant call-and-answer and dancefloor visitation!

   

The Superband has done their research - each set was a unique and entertaining journey through the history of Funk, with a songlist culled from legendary writers such as Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, Bob Marley, P-Funk, and Sly. All groove, all the time.
